It’s about a mile to the Plaza, and did some sight-seeing and shopping, took tons of pictures and had breakfast at La Nueva Central, an extremely popular restaurant! The incredible thing about El Paso is that even staying downtown, you are only minutes to great outdoor destinations like the Franklin Mountains State Park, the Wyler Aerial Tramway, and much more! We watched the FREE movie one evening at the Gene Roddenberry Planetarium, click HERE for more information.Īnother GREAT thing about the Hotel Indigo’s location is that we just a short walk away from Mexico! We left our car parked safely in the hotel, and walked across the bridge over the Rio Grande into Ciudad Juarez one morning. The pool was our absolute favorite thing about the hotel, and where we stayed most of the time! The kids loved swimming, and I loved ordering dinner and eating in the fun outdoor beds! We also made smores one night at the fire ring! The nearby hotel restaurant and bar seemed to always be busy, but most evenings we had the pool to ourselves! We loved EVERYTHING about the Hotel Indigo, from the staff that seemed like friends, to it’s GREAT location, with restaurants right around the corner! When we arrived, our concierge bumped us up to a higher floor, assuring us of a terrific view! Since we were in and out each day, keep in mind you need to tip your valet, too. Valet Parking is the only parking, please check website for daily rates. After a terrific tip from El Paso 411, we stayed a few days at the Hotel Indigo in Downtown El Paso, and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! We loved EVERYTHING about the hotel, including the terrific view we had of the Franklin Mountains and the star that lights up each evening!
